Do you need qualified first-aiders in your workplace? The three day programme with Safety Fit Training will give you and yourstaff a full range of skills and practical competencies.

We will provide all the materials you need, with the option tohave one classroom day as an online course.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Training Course

Whether for personal growth or to meet business requirements, you and your staff will gain valuable skills from our competent expert tutors and instructors. This qualification is valid for three years, though as a first aid training provider, we recommend learners refresh their knowledge annually.

Level 3 First Aid at Work – Course Overview

This is a more in-depth course, but can be taken regardless of whether your staff are new to the company or wish to gain additional qualifications to develop their skills. Through the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work course, you and your staff will gain understanding and skills in the following areas:

  • Roles and responsibilities of the first aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness
  • Assisting a casualty who is suffering from minor injury
  • Chest injuries
  • Spinal injuries
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Bone, joint and muscle injury
  • Major illness – including heart attack and stroke

Who is this course most suitable for?

This course is suitable for anyone. It is ideal for anyone working in a business with a high number of employees or where the work involves physical hazards.

Study Hours

The approximate study period for this qualification is 3 days

Numbers:

A maximum of 12 students are allowed on the course, and they must be a minimum of 14 years of age. A certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements, but learners should have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy or numeracy or equivalent. The qualification is suitable for learners aged 14 years and above.

Assessment:

Practical assessments throughout the course (e.g., demonstrating CPR) and a final multiple-choice theory exam.

Certificates:

Certificates are valid for 3 years. To stay qualified, you must take a 2-day "Requalification" course before your certificate expires.

Classroom Training Courses

This could be arranged as a corporate course and will be delivered at your workplace for up to 12 learners or individually by attending one of the modern facility classrooms around the country. When booking as a corporate dates and times of this course are to be agreed upon at the time of booking.
