Numbers:
A maximum of 12 students are allowed on the course, and they must be a minimum of 14 years of age. A certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.
Who is this course most suitable for:
Anyone seeking to widen their first aid skills, Workplace First Aiders, Early Years Staff / Childcare Professionals.
Study Hours:
This 3-hour course is delivered in-house, at your place of work. You choose the start time that suits you best. We recommend starting no later than 1.00 pm to enable the course to finish by 5.00 pm.
Entry Requirements:
This qualification is available to those over 14 or 16 years old. You do not need any previous medical training or first aid certificates to attend. A basic level of English is needed to understand the instructor’s technical guidance and to read the instructions on medication packaging (like EpiPens). It is a popular course for young sports coaches, student teachers, and babysitters.
Assessment:
It typically consists of two parts:
1. Practical Skills Assessment
The instructor will watch you demonstrate the technical skills required to administer life-saving medication.
2. Theory Assessment
Multiple-Choice Test: You will likely complete a short written paper (usually 10–15 questions).

Certificates:
The certificate is usually valid for 1 to 3 years, though annual refreshers are recommended due to the technical nature of the injectors.

Classroom Training Courses:
This course could be arranged as a corporate course and will be delivered at your workplace for up to 12 learners or individually by attending one of the modern facility classrooms around the country.
